Riding to Victory: A Journey to the Special Olympics

Riding to Victory: A Journey to the Special Olympics

On Saturday at Christchurch RDA I got paired up to ride Tiger, to do my Regional Games competition.

For Regional Games I had to compete in three different areas over two days. The three areas were dressage, equation and working trail. Dressage is where you get given a set movements and you learn the pattern and ride by yourself. Equation is where on the day you get told the movements and ride as a group then do a set of movements by yourself. Working trail is an obstacle course that you have to do on horse.

On Sunday we did the work trail and presentation.

I won gold in working trail, bronze in dressage and bronze in equation

This has qualified me for the Special Olympics national games next year in Christchurch
