Finding Flower: A Journey to Feline Friendship

A long-time dream and aspiration of mine is to share my life with a cat. I have learnt all I can about cats and the responsibilities involved. I visited a few cats for adoption but felt they weren’t a fit for me until one day I saw a ragdoll advertised that fits what I’m looking for. A time was made for me to visit.

I was very excited but nervous this cat wasn’t what I was looking for. When I arrived at the house, I introduced myself and asked if I could see the cat. Flower was carried out and introduced to me. I was a bit apprehensive to pat Flower at first but chatted attentively to her and soon gave her a pat which she enjoyed. This was followed with more pats and playing with Flower's toys. This is when I knew she was the cat for me and we bonded.

I asked if I could buy Flower, and the owner happily put her on hold until I had a couple of things I needed for Flower. The day was here and I was so excited to be getting Flower. When I arrived, Flower was waiting for me. I patted and chatted to her, then she happily went into the carrier. I gave the owner the money and they gave me her vet records.

I reassured Flower on the drive home and when we arrived, I let her out, showed her around, and helped her settle in. I love looking after Flower and giving her lots of attention which she enjoys. I have even started taking Flower for short walks with her harness on, which she is slowly getting used to.
